December 2009 Lecture/Workshop Schedule

Single Topic Behavior Workshops - $50 per dog A practical workshop where we spend 1/2 hour working with you and your dog for three consecutive weeks to help them improve on each specific topic. All dogs should be able to work around other dogs without being aggressive, especially for the recall workshop.
- Loose-leash Walking: Teach your dog to stop pulling you down the street on the leash. Tuesday Dec. 1, 8, & 15 from 7:00 - 7:30 PM.
- Anti-Jump: Teach your dog to stop jumping up on people. Tuesday Dec. 1, 8, & 15 from 7:45 - 8:15 PM.
- Recall: Teach your dog to come when called. Thursday Dec 3, 10, & 17 from 6:15 - 6:45 PM.
- Barking: Learn about the different reasons dogs bark and how to get them to stop. Thursday Dec 3, 10, & 17 from 7:00 - 7:30 PM.

Lecture Series - $20 per person ($30 per family) A series of 2-hour lectures where we discuss each topic in depth. Dogs do not attend lectures (service dogs excepted, of course).
- Adoption Options: Choosing the Right Pet for You: As the holidays approach, we realize that many of you, or people you know, may be looking to add a new pet to the household. Many of the problems we see when we consult with owners is that they have acquired a dog or other pet that doesn't really fit their lifestyle. Join us to find out how to decide what kind of pet is right for you, your household, family, and lifestyle so they truly can be a forever part of the family. Sunday, Dec. 6 from 2:30 - 4:30 PM.
- Kids & Dogs: This lecture is for dog owners as well as parents of human kids, so even someone without a dog will get a lot out of this lecture. Some dogs are great with kids and others, well, not so much. Ditto with children. How do you create kids who are comfortable, appropriate, and safe around dogs? And how do you create dogs who are comfortable, appropriate, and safe around kids? We'll discuss these topics and more during this lecture. Sunday, Dec. 13 from 2:30 - 4:30 PM.
